Katie Johnson Duerrhammer has had success through the Grand Prix level with Quartett, Kylee Lourie’s Brandenburg gelding, since getting the ride on him ahead of the 2020 competition season. The pair took home top placings at the 2020 Adequan Global Dressage Festival, including a win in the FEI Intermediate I CDI1* at AGDF 7 and second place in the FEI Intermediate I CDI1* at AGDF 10.
In December of 2020, Duerrhammer and Quartett won their Grand Prix debut at Global Holiday Challenge in the FEI Grand Prix – O, AA, J/Y class. They went on to place second in the FEI Grand Prix at AGDF 11 in March of 2021, and third in the FEI Grand Prix Special CDI4* at Tryon Spring Dressage 1 with a new personal best score at the level.
Duerrhammer is an alumni of the North American Youth Championship, having won team and individual gold in 2008 with Pam Brown-Schachter’s KWPN gelding, Millenium.
